PEIGNA was founded in 2003 to bring together registered nurses who share a common interest in geriatric nursing.

The primary goals are to provide and disseminate information about educational opportunities related to geriatric care.

PEIGNA is an affiliate member of the Canadian Gerontological Nurses Association.
